This morning as I drove my son to school, I looked at some of the faces of people in the other cars. There are a lot of unsatisfied people going to their work today. They only have 5 more days to go! Looking at their faces made my thankful for what I do every day. Since sharing is caring, I would like to share some of my daily habits. Since there is a great business opportunity with these oils, you really have to go and try it.

Today I would like to tell you a bit more about doTerra Grapefruit Oil. It is really one of my favorite oils. Because of it smell, but mainly because of it many benefits for my health.

One of the reasons why I like this oil, it helps me to accept my body and building a good self-love. We women are not always as self-confident as we would like. Especially during my pregnancy and after giving birth. I gained a lot of weight during my pregnancy, which did not come off that easy (there is still some there, actually). But Grapefruit helps me to accept all of that. It also helps me to have a good relationship with food. Which is always good. I sometimes just sell the bottle, when I have a sweet craving and it helps me not to eat that cookie or candy.

But one of the things I really like about this oil, is when I drink it, it stimulates the detox process of my body in a natural way. It has a cleansing effect on the kidneys. Because when I drink this oil, I drink always some extra water, so my body gets a good cleanse. If you drink an oil like this and it makes you nauseous, you don’t drink enough water. Because it stimulates the detox process, the body wants to get rid of some waist: so always drink plenty!!

If you want to get rid of cellulites, just put some grapefruit oil there (don’t go into sunlight after that!! Citrus oils and sun are not a good match). It helps with slimming and toning. It is not that the pounds flew off, but those few inches where good enough for me. Do you understand why I like it?

Well there is another reason why I like this oil so much. It lowers my stress! He, who doesn’t want to feel less stressed?? Don’t ask me how, I’m a aromatherapist, I don’t have a chemistry major (really not my favorite thing at school), but the grapefruit oil lowers cortisol. What does cortisol do? Cortisol is a steroid hormone, made in the cortex of the adrenal glands and then released into the blood which transports it all round the body.  Cortisol can help control blood sugar levels, regulate metabolism, help reduce inflammation and assist with memory formulation. It has a controlling effect on salt and water balance and helps control blood pressure. In women, cortisol also supports the developing fetus during pregnancy.

Some of the effects  of high cortisol levels can cause changes in a woman’s libido and menstrual cycle, even without the presence of Cushing’s disease. Anxiety and depression may also be linked to high cortisol levels. (1)

Grapefruit oil helps to balance the cortisol levels in my body, so it stimulates a healthy hormonal balance too. My body didn’t like the pregnancy, so it needed some extra help to recover from it.

But with every drop I take every day, I feel better and better. Slow and steady wins the race. So please let me know, if you need any help, winning your race. Because I know, it is doable! I did it, so can you!

To your health,

Marie-Christine

PS unfortunately Grapefruit all is not for everybody. When you take medication which is not compatible with grapefruit or grapefruit juice, you better don’t use this oil either. Please ask your physician for advice.
